Butterfly - Geode Series 18-1/2” x 9-1/2” (not counting antenna)
The larger oblong shapes on the bottom wings are sister geodes slices (they were cut from the same geode within 1 slice of one another). They have shades of amber, blue and gray in them. To compliment the colors of these slices, I’ve selected semi-translucent and translucent opalescent colors in shades of amber and gray. The body of the butterfly will be a dark amber/white translucent glass and the amber spots within the wings will be done using glass globs. The antenna will be lead wire.
This piece can be put in a stand or rings can be added so that it can be hung.
Colors of the geodes and glass are as close to real as “Glass Eye 2000” software will allow me to get. The actual colors of the glass are quite beautiful and truly compliment the geodes.

Excavation of Geode 7 - Geode Series 8” Diameter
The small irregular shape at the top represents the geode slice, which has a rust brown edge an outer ring of dark amber, then a ring of amber/gray, then a center part of amber. To compliment the colors in the geode slice, I’ve selected light amber/white wispy, translucent opalescent glass for the top layer; a pale amber wispy opalescent glass for the second layer; a grey/white wispy, translucent opalescent glass for the third layer, and a dark amber/white translucent glass for the bottom layer.
This piece can be put in a stand or rings can be added so that it can be hung.

Geode 1 in Three Quarter Disk - Geode Series 10” Diameter
The larger oblong shape in the middle represents the geode slice, which has a gray and brown outer ring and shades of blue and clear quartz crystal center. To compliment the colors in the geode slice, I’ve selected a grey/white wispy translucent glass for the outer ring and a steel blue translucent waterglass for the inner ring. To make it almost appear as if the geode is floating in the center, I’ve almost surrounded the geode with a clear, artique glass.
This piece can be put in a stand or rings can be added so that it can be hung.

Geode 2 in Half Disk - Geode Series 8” Diameter
The larger oblong shape in the middle represents the geode slice, which has a gray and brown outer ring and shades of blue and clear quartz crystal center. To compliment the colors in the geode slice, I’ve selected a grey/white wispy translucent glass for the outer ring and a steel blue translucent waterglass for the inner ring. To make it almost appear as if the geode is floating in the center, I’ve used a clear, artique glass to hold the geode away from the color glass.

Geode 3 in Slipped Disk - Geode Series
The larger oblong shape in the middle represents the geode slice, which has a gray and brown outer ring and shades of blue and clear quartz crystal center. To compliment the colors in the geode slice, I’ve selected a grey/white wispy translucent glass for the outer rings and a steel blue translucent waterglass for the inner rings. To make it almost appear as if the geode is floating in the center, I’ve used a clear, artique glass to surround the geode. But oops, it appears that the top half of the disk has slipped.

Geode 20 in Medicine Wheel - Geode Series 10” Diameter
The larger oblong shape in the middle represents the geode slice, which has a rust brown edge and a blue/amber center. In the middle of the slice there is a rough spot showing the crystals that were inside the geode. To compliment the colors in the geode slice, I’ve selected a dark amber/white wispy translucent glass, a light amber/white wispy opalescent glass and a cobalt blue translucent waterglass. I’ve also added in four cobalt blue glass globs as shown as the smaller blue ovals in the pattern.
This piece can be put in a stand or rings can be added so that it can be hung.
