Archways Archways
16-1/2” x 20-1/2”

I designed this piece incorporating the typical straight lines of art deco along with curves and circles to form an archway. I used a simple color combination of golden amber rolled glass, olive green rolled glass, brown and amber wispy glass, and a firery red wispy glass to form the archways. The background glass is a clear seed glass with small air bubbles in it.

Falling Leaf Falling Leaf
10-1/2” x 18-1/2”

While sitting on my patio, I noticed a leaf that fell from the neighbor’s tree, and e.e. cummings’ poem “1 (a…(a leaf falls on loneliness)” came to mind.

I created this piece using various textured clear glass and leaving the center square free of glass. The only color is that of the leaf, which I did in two shades of green to give the illusion of it turning in upon itself as it falls.

Addie's Flamingo Addie's Flamingo
8” diameter

I created the look of the flamingo’s feathers by using a wispy pink and white opaque glass, cutting it so the pattern went in the direction of the feathers. The background is an iridescent milky glass with the texture of grass blowing in the wind.

Brushes Brushes
8-1/2” x 12-1/2”

Wanting to design a special piece for fellow artists, friends of mine that have chosen decorative painting as their favorite art form, I started with the type of brushes that they use, then put them into a wispy teal and fiery red cup to match the colors in their painting studio so it made this piece even more personal. The background color is a wispy white with light amber as if it is the canvas they are about to paint.

Red Red Rose Red Red Rose
11-1/2” x 22-1/2”

I created this piece using a deep red for the rose and two shades of green for the leaves and stem to give it some depth and a sky blue rolled glass for the edge. The background glass is a clear wavy glass that just adds a bit more texture to the design without taking away from the rose.

Coconuts Coconuts Candle Stand
5” x 7”

Tropical blue glass for the sky, lime green glass for the palm fronds, and yellow glass globs for coconuts make for a fun piece. A base was added to make it a freestanding piece. A candle on the stand lights up the window.

All candle stands such as this one are made custom to your design. Tell me the subject and colors that you want and I will design a special piece for you.

Calla Lily Calla Lily Candle Stand
5” x 7”

A fiery Mango Calla lily that matched the color of the bride’s bouquet along with the dark green of the leaves and an off-white opaque background, the color of the bride’s gown. A base was added so it was a freestanding piece with a candle on the base that lit up the window with a romantic glow. This made a stunning addition to the reception table when all six pieces were lit.

Geode 6 in Prairie Geode 6 in Prairie - Geode Series
6-1/2” x 10”

A beautiful piece of blue and amber geode slice, centered in a prairie style piece. Small amber glass globs centered in the triangular spaces that is devoid of glass. The clear glass has a water ripple texture to it and the border has an amber rough rolled glass texture that offsets the amber in the geode.

Geode 13 in Prairie Geode 13 in Prairie - Geode Series
6-1/2” x 10”

A beautiful geode slice with rings of ambers, creams and browns and a center of clear quartz, centered in a prairie style piece. I chose the frosted clear glass as the background to emphasize the crystallized center of the geode slice. The edge of the window is a caramel color opaque glass that matches the amber and cream rings of the geode slice. This piece looks like it could have been hanging in a window 100 years ago.

Moonset Behind Desert Mountains Moonset Behind Desert Mountains - Geode Series
8-1/2” x 11”

The moon is a beautiful bright amber agate geode slice. The sky is a deep nighttime blue with small bubbles that almost looks like a sky filled with stars. The mountains are black opaque glass to be in the shadow of the moon. The desert is a combination of amber rough rolled glass that looks like the sand dunes created by the desert breeze along with a piece of green and amber glass being the desert flora.

Sausage on a Fork Sausage on a Fork - Geode Series
8-1/2” x 11”

A fun piece that started as a joke. A friend wondered if I could do a “cheesy” window for a good friend of his, who he loved to grill with.

The “sausage” is an agate geode slice. The red, hot coals are red glass globs that reflect the light just right so they truly look like they are on fire. The outer part of the grill is black opaque glass where the inside is dark gray translucent glass, as if brightened by the hot coals. I used the lead lines to be the fork holding the sausage as well as the heat lines rising from the hot coals. The edge is a caramel opaque glass.

Going Green & Amber Going Green & Amber - Recycled Series
8” x 10-1/2”

Keeping with the times, I felt that I didn’t want to waste my leftover glass from other projects by just throwing it out, so I’ve recycled this glass by creating new pieces made from the leftovers of other projects.

This piece is done with shades of green, amber, and gray glass with various textures and patterns. I’ve also added amber glass globs for additional shape and texture.
